All The Latest On 2023 Hyundai SUVs and Crossovers

Hyundai Motors offers one of the most diverse and expansive lineups of SUVs. From its compact Venue to its mid-size Palisade, there isn’t a vehicle that won’t be able to accommodate your individual needs and desires. Here are some updates to expect for each new Hyundai SUV.

2023 Hyundai Venue

The most inexpensive vehicle in the lineup of Hyundai vehicles, the Venue, will be entering 2023 without very many changes. The rear occupant alert system and a 4.2-inch color digital instrument cluster display are now standard features for each trim. The cabin will also receive more standard comforts like a map lamp and a center console armrest., along with wireless phone charging on the Limited trim.

2023 Hyundai Kona

This funky and fresh Kona crossover is dropping its Tech package for the N Line trim but will bring on features from that bundle such as the power sunroof and a 10.3-inch navigation system with over-the-air map updates.

Additional changes include the swapping of the ray body cladding for the SEL Convenience package and the addition of the power driver’s seat for SEL and SEL Convenience. SEL trims will also get automatic power front windows, while the Kona SEL Convenience receives a 10.3-inch infotainment unit with OTA updates.

New standard safety features also include blind-spot monitoring, collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, safe exit warning, and heated side mirrors with turn signal indicators. The rear USB outlet is also newly standard across the range.

2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz

Like the Kona, the Santa Cruz also rocks a unique style from other small pickups. This new model year gets a new Night trim that tacks on dark exterior accents. The Santa Cruz SEL Premium has also been expanded to include a 10.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with built-in navigation, dynamic voice recognition, speed limit assist, and navigation-based adaptive cruise control with curve assist.

The list of safety gadgets has also been updated, involving blind-spot monitoring with collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic alert with collision-avoidance assist, and safe exit warning on every model. 

2023 Hyundai Tucson

New on the Tucson N Line is a panoramic sunroof, while the H-Tex faux leather seating is now standard on SEL trims that have the Convenience package on the XRT trim. The hands-free power tailgate is now standard on the SEL, XRT, N Line, and Limited trims. On top of this, all new Tucsons’ will be geared with adaptive cruise control with stop and go functionality, speed limit assist, and forward collision assist with pedestrian, cyclist, and junction-turning detection.

2023 Hyundai Santa Fe

The midsize Santa Fe will certainly receive the works for 2023. The SEL Convenience trim has gotten the boot, with all SELs now sporting a black grille, silver front bumper accents, silver lower skid plate accents, and black lower door trim. Meanwhile, SEL, XRT, SEL Premium, Limited, and Calligraphy trims are getting satin chrome door handles, acoustic glass front windows, and puddle lamps.

2023 Hyundai Palisade

The three-row Palisade is likely to receive the most changes with a refashioned exterior receiving new front and rear bumpers, a new front grille, updated headlights and daytime running lights, new alloy wheel designs, and auto-dimming side mirrors. The car company also swapped the Rainforest paint color for the Robust Emerald.

Additional advancements include the inclusion of water-repelling windows on SEL Premium, Limited, and Calligraphy trims. While the Convenience trim has been discontinued, LED taillights have now been added on the SEL trim and higher trims. A sunroof is now standard of the SEL Premium, along with the new off-roader-inspired XRT.

Speaking of XRTs, the new 2023 model will show off black roof rails, a dark-finish grille, dark-finish 20-inch alloy wheels, a distinctive front- and rear fascia with a skid plate design. Meanwhile, the interior will get black synthetic leather seating.

2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5

The fully-electric Hyundai Ioniq 5 gets a purposeful bundle of upgrades for the new model year, such as a battery heating system and battery preconditioning capability as standard upgrades. Other than the base model, towing capacity for all variants has been increased to 2,300 lbs. AWDs have also gained 10 miles of range for a total of 266 miles.

Projector LED headlights and front LED accent lighting will now only be available on the Limited trims, while Hyundai’s Digital Key 1 is now standard on the SELs and Limiteds. A seat-belt reminder has been added to all Ioniq 5s, while the Gravity Gold Matte has been added as a new paint color.

2023 Hyundai Nexo

Lastly, the hydrogen fuel cell Hyundai Nexo will be the only crossover receiving no changes. It’s still one of just two hydrogen fuel cell vehicles currently on sale in the U.S.
