An All-New Hyundai Ioniq T10 EV Truck May Be On The Way
An all-new Hyundai EV pickup truck may be in the works the way according to a new trademark filing. Called the Ioniq T10, the pickup truck appears to be a new EV crossover. Hyundai has yet to release any information about the new truck, but given the automaker’s current focus on EVs, it’s likely it will be a new addition to the lineup. The South Korean automaker recently unveiled a high-performance version of the Ioniq 5 called the Ioniq 5N. Hyundai has also been working on new technology to improve its EVs like its Active Air Skirt system. With EVs being a top priority, the likelihood of a new EV truck is high. New Potential EV Truck Called Hyundai T10 Revealed
According to a new trademark filing, an all-new electric pickup truck called the Hyundai T10 may be in the works. Hyundai has not officially commented on the new EV truck, but given the automaker’s electrification efforts, it will likely arrive as a brand-new model. Looking at the filing, the description falls under automobiles, electric cars, trucks, and SUVs. The South Korean automaker recently released the Ioniq 5N which serves as a higher-performance version of the Ioniq 5. Hyundai has also debuted new EV technology like its Active Air Skirt system. With so much emphasis on EVs, a new electric pickup truck is not too surprising, especially given the competition from other models like the Silverado EV and F-150 Lightning.
Along with its new EV technology, Hyundai recently unveiled a new EV platform called the IMA platform. Hyundai’s CEO Jaehoon Chang commented saying that its IMA platform would “encompass nearly all vehicle classes ranging from small and large SUVs to pickup trucks.” Going off Chang’s comments, the Ioniq T10 could potentially be the latest EV to join the South Korean automaker’s lineup. Another trademark was also filed for the Ioniq T7 which could also be an EV truck. We’ll have to wait for confirmation, but Hyundai is furthering its lead in the EV market. With infrastructure and charging networks being built up globally, the automaker is ensuring it can offer a highly capable and versatile EV lineup. For now, we’ll be staying tuned.
